Mathews Shell Museum
With
an emphasis on being a center for learning, the Shell Museum provides
a rich opportunity for the visitor to explore, discover, and map their
own course through the exhibits in the Great Hall of Shells, Exhibits
illustrate the role shells have played in ecology, medicine, literature,
religion, art, architecture, and as a source of food. The objective of
the Museum is to inspire, educate, and to provide leadership in the natural
history of shells and nature-related issues.

Cruises operates a fleet of vessels from world-famous, South Seas Plantation
Resort on beautiful Captiva Island, Florida.
Since 1986 Captiva Cruises has been offering an exciting schedule of nature

J.N."Ding" Darling
Natural Wildlife Refuge
The
6,300-acre J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is located
on Sanibel Island near Ft. Myers, Florida. The refuge harbors a variety
of wildlife, including over 240 bird species. A four mile wildlife drive
offers visitors access to estuarine/mangrove habitats and freshwater wetlands.
Museum of the Islands
The
Museum of The Islands offers the inquisitive mind a variety of information
from how the shell mounds were formed, to how the first settlers eked
